Congratulations to Pro Street Drag Series driver Mick Begley on capturing the European 4WD Record for Japanese imports at Shakespeare County Raceway last weekend.

Begley, who was behind the wheel of the ex-Tim Webster Duke Drag Skyline GTR R33 powered by a 2.8 Hideck RB26 engine producing a 1000 bhp at the wheels, lowered the previous record of 8.45, set by Andy Barnes at Santa Pod, to 8.218 seconds at 176.65 mph. The record was backed up with an 8.23.

"The car has so much left in her", says Mick. "Crew Chief Tweenierob won't turn the boost up until I get my sixty foot times under 1.4. Both times today were with a 1.45 sixty foot. So I need to learn a bit more.

"The surface was excellent on the Sunday. The guys at Shakespeare County did us all proud. Next time (12th October) we might even see the sevens!"

Team Martin Honda find more power with VP Team Martin Honda find more power with VP
Based on its experience at the Motocross of Nations at Budds Creek, MD last fall, Team Martin Honda has chosen to switch to VP Racing Fuels to fuel its 2008 campaign. Winner of 20 national and international titles, Team Martin Honda is using VP's M8-1 racing fuel in its quest to win the 2008 FIM World Championship and European Championship.

Team Martin Honda is competing for the 2008 Motocross World Championship with two MX1 riders, Julien Bill and Marc De Reuver; the 2008 Motocross European Championship with four riders: Andrea Cervellin, Giacomo Del Segato, Michele De Bortoli and Alessandro Battig; and the MX3 World Championship with Cristian Beggi. BIGFOOT® "The Worlds Original Monster Truck" now working with VP Racing Fuels.

The BIGFOOT® #17 Monster Truck Racing Team are delighted to announce a partnership with VP Racing Fuels and the guys at MotorShack.

For some time now BIGFOOT® and the MotorShack team have been working on the best fuel to use to maximise the performance of the "Worlds Original Monster Truck" and after some secret test sessions during the later stages of 2007 MotorShack and VP Racing Fuels came through.

BIGFOOT® #17 driver Nigel Morris said, "We are delighted with this new fuel, you can actually feel the difference in the truck. It accelerates harder and comes up in the rev range much cleaner."

BIGFOOT® #17 uses an alcohol injected and supercharged Ford Racing 572 cu in V8 for power. There are tight engine build limits within the governing bodies (MTRAE) rulebook, so it is important to get the maximum power from within those engine limits.

Nigel again, "for us power is very important, but we also have to drive the trucks during a race. This can and does mean getting into and out of the throttle in very quick succession. The work that the MotorShack team have done to increase throttle response with VP Racing Fuels is stunning."

As current EMTRC Champions BIGFOOT® #17 see VP Racing Fuels as a key component in BIGFOOT® #17’s attempt to retain their EMTRC (European Monster Truck Racing Championship) title in 2008. BIGFOOT® #17 won the EMTRC title in 2003, 2006 & 2007.

VP RACING FUELS AT AUTOSPORT 2008VP RACING FUELS AT AUTOSPORT 2008
The range of VP rally fuels were all the talk on the VP Racing Fuels stand at Autosport 2007.
Both rally drivers and VP stockists were enthusiastic and excited with the availability in the UK of these innovative racing fuels manufactured specifically for all classes of rallying. Autosport International was also the launch pad for 3 new VP leaded racing fuels, Q16, VP113, U4.2 which generated much interest from both new and existing customers.

Situated on the main walkway VP Racing Fuels had their most impressive stand in their history of attendance at the show. The vast array of colourful unique VP racing fuel jugs certainly caught visitors eyes and were soon snapped up. The stand attracted racers, enthusiasts and potential stockists, all eager to learn more about the benefits of speciality racing fuels.
The VP stand was truly an international event. Visitors to the stand enquiring about the rally fuels included those from Ireland, Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe and the Middle East

The VP sponsored Super Comp Champion, Paul Knight was also at the show exhibiting his Trans Am Pontiac. Paul was a regular visitor to the VP stand where he signed 'Hero' cards for his fans and explained the mechanics of his winning race car.
Steve Wood of Motorshack, UK Importer and Distributor of VP Racing Fuels confirmed it had been the most successful and busiest Autosport attendance to date and the interest in the VP Rally Fuels had been outstanding..

MotorShack and Thames Valley Racing teamed up to bring Motor Racing Legends together at the Historic Motorsport Show 2005, Stoneleigh.

The MotorShack stable of Klotz (established in 1965) and VP Racing Fuels (currently celebrating 30 years of 'Makin' Power), partnered a stand with an original and remarkable specimen of the 1966 Shelby Mustang. Just 1,000 GT-350H with special specifications were made for Hertz Rent a Car when the car hire company thought it could open up a new market by offering exclusive sporty cars for rent.

The Black Beauty with stunning Gold Mane and dressage of VP and Klotz decals was a sensation, and a fine compliment to MotorShack, importers and distributors of the best Racing Fuels in the world.

Our special thanks to Steve Howard of Thames Valley Racing for the Mustang and Autoproud for the photo shoot.
